Chris Meyer, MD was born in Cleveland, OH. His undergraduate study was in Biology at Williams College in Williamstown, MA. He graduated with Honors and earned his BA in 1990. Dr. Meyer enlisted with the Air Force in 1991 and completed undergraduate pilot training in 1993. He flew F-15 Eagles for almost six years before matriculating at the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine in 1998. After graduating from medical school in 2002, Dr. Meyer completed a Transitional Internship with the National Capital Consortium in Washington, DC. He went on to graduate from the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine and served as a Flight Surgeon for the 509th Bomb Wing, Whiteman AFB, MO from 2003 to 2005.
Prior to joining Galichia Medical Group, Dr. Meyer started and evolved the position of Medical Director at two different insurance consulting firms, Lockton Companies and IMA. The role included health risk management, disease management and wellness initiatives advice for companies seeking to reduce their healthcare costs. He also worked closely with the Medical Directors of insurance companies regarding Clinical Policy Bulletins and medical claims appeals. Although Dr. Meyer separated from active duty in 2005, he joined the USAF Reserves and continues to serve as a mission-ready A-10 pilot.
